Thailand's flora and fauna is both abundant and spectacular. Graceful Elephants, Wild Orchids and rare palms are just some of the natural wonders you should expect to see on a visit to the Kingdom. Waterfalls abound, deserted beaches and out of the way towns create a real escape from our hectic daily lives.
In this section we focus on some of the easier to spot species along with areas that are little known in the guidebooks. We feel that these species and areas of Thailand offer just as much interest as other more charismatic animals and famous landmarks and should not be overlooked. This family of birds ranges from the Great Hornbill, Wreathed Hornbill, Rufous Hornbill, Helmeted hornbill and just to name but a few, however the Oriental Pied hornbill is the only sub species considered commonly found, the rest are at risk, near threatened or endangered within Thailand.

Amongst the easiest to see in Thailand are the Lizards. Ranging from the mighty Water Monitor, which is in the same family as the Komodo dragon and can grow well over 2 meters, to the tiny Gecko only a few inches long - welcomed in homes due to its liking to mosquito’s and other flying pests.
